Zach Aaron

“Aaron’s western-dipped folk music matches song-to-song his blissfully evocative lyrics. He pulls humanity into himself, adding in pinches of his own story for needed flavor, and simply asks you to take a closer look.”

by Jason Scott From American Songwriter

It is beyond cliche to say someone has an “old soul,” but Zach Aaron, a Cleveland, Texas-based singer/songwriter fits that overused description if anyone does. His elegantly tarnished tenor voice, fingerpicked guitar melodies and mix of raw honesty and abstract sentiments in his lyrics make him seem of a different time than many of his contemporaries, yet timeless, all the same.

After living and working various odd jobs across the South, spending years in the Air Force, being a professional saddle bronc rider, and amassing a variety of stories from his experiences, Zach has released five studio albums including “This Lovely War” that was released in May 2023.

The music of Zach Aaron sits comfortably beneath others under the Americana banner, and as far as like-minded artists Aaron would be recommended alongside, there arc dashes of Townes, a bit of Adam Carroll, some Doc Watson and a sprinkle of the Turnpike Troubadours’ Evan Felker present in what he does.
